In October of 2010 I bought my first car. It was a shiny 1999 Chevy Prizm, an obvious beauty. I paid cash, which was a huge accomplishment for me but it also left my pockets feeling pretty lonely. Ironically, two weeks later I got hit by another driver. Nothing serious, just a few dents and scrapes but the insurance money I received was the same amount that I paid for car. It was a blessing in disguise as we were in the middle of planning our wedding. As all of you future brides know, any bit of extra capital goes a long way when paying for a wedding!
The stories I could tell about this car, but for now I’ll just share our farewell memories. Naturally, Ryan had the fun idea to take a few photos with the car before we had to junk it. We dressed up and went to the nearest park as if our little Chevy was a fancy hotrod; and to us it was. This car was nothing short of a miracle, saying good bye was a little bitter sweet.
After years of me claiming ownership of the car, I reluctantly agreed to share it with this guy 😉
We brought our baby home from the hospital in this car.
The inside of this car was just as pretty as the outside…
It’s been a great few years with this clunker, she served us well. Enjoy car heaven little Prizm. Thank you to my sister for playing photographer for us 😉
